Jerzy Nagorski (Bass-baritone) has lived in Dubai since 2010. He was educated at the University of Warwick, is a former member of the Armonico Consort, and spent eight years as a soloist on the UK choral society circuit. He made his London debut in December 2005 with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra as the baritone soloist in Vaughan Williams Fantasia. Other engagements as a soloist include Bach St. Matthew Passion, Magnificat and Wachet auf, Handel Messiah and Dettingen Te Deum, Haydn Creation, Nelsonmesse, Paukenmesse and Harmoniemesse, Mozart Requiem and Coronation Mass, Beethoven 9th Symphony, Mass in C and Choral Fantasia, Rossini Petite Messe Solennelle, Brahms Requiem, Faure Requiem and Tippett Spirituals from A Child Of Our Time.
He made his operatic debut in 2002 as Dr. Grenvil in Verdi La Traviata and sang his first leading role in 2007 as the title role in Tchaikovsky Eugene Onegin. Other operatic roles include Scarpia in Puccini Tosca, and Alfio in Mascagni Cavalleria Rusticana. He has also sung many of the Gilbert & Sullivan roles, including Captain Corcoran HMS Pinafore, Sir Marmaduke The Sorcerer, Colonel Calverley Patience, The Sergeant of Police The Pirates of Penzance and the title role in The Mikado. He made his Abu Dhabi debut in 2015 with NSO Opera in the role of Melchior in Menotti Amahl and the Night Visitors.
